Crestwood Cross Country Invitational Saturday, October 3, 2015 Cresco Country Club ATTN: Cross Country Coaches: The information below should allow you to finalize your plans for participation in the 2015 Crestwood Cross Country Invitational, which will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at the Cresco Country Club. Entry Fee is $70, which covers both boys and girls. 1) Buses may drop off athletes at the driving range(west end of golf course) and then park in the east end of the Cresco Country Club parking lot. We also ask that no one park in the field across from the driving range as that is private property. Please pass this information along to your parents. Parking for fans is allowed along the road or at the clubhouse parking lot. 2) The clubhouse basement will be open and the locker rooms will be available for the girls and boys. Portable restrooms will be located at the starting location, which is at the west end of the golf course at the top of the hill. You may pick up your packet at the building by the start and finish lines. Jr. High and High School races will begin at a common start this year at the top of the driving range. We have also made some slight changes to the course this year as you will see on the attached maps. 3) We are going to run one high school girls race and one high school boys race. We will still award top 15 varsity medals and top 15 JV ribbons. The top 7 participants from each team will count as varsity with all finishers after that to be JV. It is unlikely that a top 15 finisher would be the 8th contestant from any given team, but if that were to happen, that 8th contestant would still count as JV and receive a JV ribbon. 4) Contestants should be at the starting line 10 minutes before their race. 5) The order of races and awards will be as follows: a. 9:30 – Junior High Girls (Top 15 Ribbons and Participant Ribbons for all competitors– 2 mile race) b. 9:50 – Junior High Boys (Top 15 Ribbons and Participant Ribbons for all competitors– 2 mile race) c. 10:15 – High School Girls (Top 15 JV – Ribbons / Top 15 Varsity - Medals) – 5K – unlimited entry d. 11:00 – High School Boys (Top 15 JV – Ribbons / Top 15 Varsity Medals) – 5K – unlimited entry e. 11:45 – Awards 6) J.H.
