Key Performance Areas: Teaching and Learning in the disciplines of Animal Science/Production The preparation and development of learning and assessment materials The presentation of lecturers, tutorial and practicals, on and off-campus Research and supervision of postgraduate students (Senior Lecturer) Liaise with industry and other stakeholders regarding curricula, excursions, research and community projects Engagement in community projects Curriculum development Participate in Departmental, Faculty and Institutional activities Responsible for administrative tasks relating to the learning programmes of the Department Minimum Requirements: Lecturer A relevant Master’s degree with a BSc Agric degree in Agriculture specializing in Animal Breeding or Animal Reproductive Physiology At least four years experience in teaching, research and/or industry Preference will be given to candidates with a qualification in Education Registration with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions will be a strong recommendation Senior Lecturer: A relevant Doctoral degree with a BSc Agric degree in Agriculture specializing in Animal Breeding or Animal Reproductive Physiology At least five years experience in teaching, research and/or industry with evidence of publications in peer-reviewed journals People with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
