To complete a daily litter bin round, using a caged tipper vehicle, ensuring all bins listed for that day are cleansed. To open, lock and keep clean the public conveniences. On request to fulfil any other duties of a Clean and Green Operative in an efficient and effective manner. To complete a daily litter bin round, using a caged tipper vehicle, ensuring all bins listed for that day are cleansed and the waste properly disposed of. On request, to undertake a range of operations, utilising vehicles, plant and equipment in an efficient and effective manner in accordance with best practise and industry standards. To open, close and maintain the public toilets in a clean and attractive condition, reporting any disrepair or defects promptly. On request, to undertake a range of green space and public realm maintenance and development work in an efficient and effective manner. To be fully aware of and comply with all Road Traffic and Highway Regulations. The post holder will be responsible for organising their own workload in liaison with the area charge hand/team leader and will be expected to utilise their own initiative on a regular basis. To ensure all paperwork is undertaken as required by the line manager, including the prompt reporting of defective bins. To proactively deal with enquiries from members of the public in a polite and professional manner and ensure the Councils Customer Care procedures are adhered to at all times. Ensure all Council assets/resources are utilised, maintained, stored and secured in an efficient and effective manner. Be responsible for vehicles, plant and equipment and associated resources utilised by the 10 post holder To be able to interpret route sheets, site plans, drawings and specifications and ensure all 11 operations are undertaken in accordance with these. To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, 12 commensurate with the grading and level of responsibilities of the post.
