Key Advisory Services:

Master Plan for Cochin City for the Corporation of Cochin, Kerala, India.
Role: Principal planner for the City Corporation on deputation from HUDCO.
The project involved preparation of a blue print for the comprehensive
development of the city of Cochin and the surrounding region, for the year
2026. Activities involved conceptualization from its inception by developing
a vision for the city for the year 2026, then translating this vision into an
implementable methodology and action plan to culminate in development
proposals for the city.

Damage Assessment Report for the Tsunami affected areas of Tamil Nadu and
Kerala in India. Role: Individual Report for Govt of Tamil Nadu
This involved studying the Tsunami affected coastal towns in TamilNadu
and Kerala. The damage assessment exercise with particular reference to the
built form and settlement was conducted in January 04’ immediately after the
Tsunami attacks. The assessment report was handed over to the Tamil-Nadu
Government which helped shape the actions of the Government
subsequently.

Development Plan for Thiruvanamalai with a focus on tourism and
conservation. Role: Team Leader
The project involved studying the town of Thiruvannamalai, the existing built
form and recommending future course of action for take over of the
Thiruvanamalai temple precincts by the Archeological Survey of India. Also
made a 14 minute documentary film on this subject which was later handed
over to the Supreme Court of India.

Theme Paper on Infrastructure Development in TamilNadu for the State
Planning Commission. Role: Principal Consultant on behalf of the advisory
team of HUDCO
The project comprised assessing the existing infrastructure levels in State of
Tamil Nadu through secondary data collection and discussion with stake
holders, projecting the future demand based on population projections and
ratification by Senior Government officials, suggesting alternatives to addres
the infrastructure gaps for the horizon year of 2021.

Tourism Potential Report for Kanniyakumari. Role: Team Leader
The project was done for the Tourism Department of Tamil Nadu and it
comprised assessing the existing tourism infrastructure and potential in the
district. Identifying the gaps and issues and addressing these in the
Comprehensive Tourism Master Plan for the district.
