With immense pleasure and delight, the organizing committee welcomes you to the Program on Advances in Critical Care and
Emergency Medicine (PACE - 2014), The 6th Annual national conference of the Association of Emergency physicians, India (EPI),
hosted by Mehta group of Hospitals (www.mehtahospital.com), Chennai, Tamil Nadu on 2nd and 3rd August, 2014 in Chennai, Tamil
Nadu. The one day pre-conference workshop: Pediatric and Adult, Critical Care, Emergency & Trauma workshop (PACET 2014) is
scheduled for 1st August 2014 .
The Association of emergency physicians, India is a registered body actively involved in development of this specialty in the regional
level, working closely with the Society for Emergency Medicine, India (SEMI) since the year 2009.Academics, promotion of regional &
Local EM related training activity, public awareness on EM & networking all the next generation of EP's in India is its primary
objective.
PACE is an annual academic & research oriented conference, conducted by EPI association. The motive of this conference is to
attract young, new, medical graduates, inters, PG's towards the field of emergency medicine and to train them in managing common
emergencies and making them aware of existing training programs in EM in India & opportunities in the field of EM in India and
abroad.
For EM postgraduates and emergency physicians, it provides an opportunity to showcase their EM research and compete with other
institutions in our famous PACE-quiz competition and provides an opportunity to interact with all the EM leaders & great EM
teachers in India.
This year we have introduced an young researcher award, for the first time in the history of any emergency medicine conference in
India, where you have an opportunity to display and present briefly about your new innovation in the field of emergency and critical
care medicine, be it a self made jet scope or a CPR machine! and win an EPI young inventor of the award. Apart from this, there are
free poster and paper presentations and plenty of very interesting topics for discussion meticulously chosen by our scientific
committee. This year's conference also includes an exclusive pediatric emergency medicine session.
The CME credit hours from Tamil Nadu, Dr MGR medical university, CME credit hours from Nursing council, accreditation from
National Board of Examinations and other national & international EM organizations involved in development of EM in India is also
proposed for this year's conference.
