Lady Catherine’s Visit
Synopsis
Lady Catherine has heard rumors that Darcy is interested in Elizabeth, and has even
proposed marriage. She then comes to the house in the morning and confronts
Elizabeth. She demands that Elizabeth tell her what is going on. After refusing to tell
her Elizabeth admits that Darcy did ask for her hand. Lady Catherine then leaves
abruptly.
Treatment
Early one spring day, at the Bennett household. Mrs. Bennett and Elizabeth hear a
carriage approaching. It’s Lady Catherine de Bourgh. The door slings open and Lady
Catherine walks inside. Entering with no greeting she then sits down in the room.
<<”I hope you are well, Miss Bennet. That lady I suppose is your mother.”>>
Elizabeth replied that it was her mother.
<<”And that I suppose is one of your sisters.”>>
Elizabeth replied said yes.
<<”You have a very small park here.>>
