Fairfield-Suisun Student of the Month for March 2010 Elizabeth Ramirez Torres Sullivan Middle School Elizabeth Ramirez Torres, an 8th grader from Sullivan Middle School, has been selected as one of the District’s Students of the Month for March 2010. Elizabeth’s educational journey in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District is inspirational. She entered kindergarten at Bransford Elementary School speaking only Spanish. She credits her fourth grade year as the turning point in her educational journey. She received all E’s and A’s on her report card. In fifth grade she moved to David Weir Elementary School when it opened in 2006. While at David Weir, she participated on the cross-country team, basketball team, played clarinet in the band program and was on the Honor Roll. Now at Sullivan Middle School Elizabeth is excelling in our GATE program. She is active in many school activities such as Honor Society, Science Olympiad, advanced band, marching band, Battle of the Books team and the cross-country team. She is on the Principal’s Honor Roll. She is a remarkable young lady who is extremely polite and well liked by peers and staff members. We congratulate you, Elizabeth, for being honored tonight as one of the District’s Students of the Month for March.
