Dear City of Sheridan Resident,
This summer, the City of Sheridan will begin citywide single-stream curbside recycling. There are a few things we’d like you to know in order to ensure that this new service.

You will receive a 96-gallon blue, single-stream curbside recycling cart at your home

Service will occur every other week on the same day as your regular trash collection
We’ve designed our single-stream curbside recycling program for convenience and ease. Please take the time to read the enclosed flyer carefully because preventing contamination is tremendously important to the success of the program.
In order to ensure a smooth transition from drop-site recycling to the convenience of curbside recycling, we’re going to convert our drop-sites to single-stream collection. This means you will no longer separate most of your items — cardboard, paper, tin, aluminum and plastic will be placed into one bin. However, glass will be separated. Drop-site collection bins will be labeled so you’ll know exactly what to do.
Once our curbside recycling service is in full swing, we will continue to offer drop-site recycling at four locations. All four locations will accept glass and single-stream items:

City Recycling Center KROE Ln. (1148 KROE Ln.)

City Landfill (83 East Ridge Rd. – open during regular Landfill hours)

5 th and Highland Avenue (1261 Highland Ave.)

Washington Park on Coffeen Ave.
The City’s seven green waste dropsites will not change. Please note that green waste will not be accepted in curbside carts:

Marshall Park (Big Horn Ave.)

Kendrick Park (South side)

5 th and Highland Ave. (1261 Highland Ave.)

Skate Park (parking area)

K-Mart (2571 N. Main St.)

Oatts Memorial Park (on 7 th St. between Sheridan Ave. and Saberton)

Washington Park (on Coffeen Ave.)
