Livingston County Curriculum Document SUBJECT: Spanish I Grade: 9-12 Big Idea: Preliminary Spanish (Students will be using their textbooks, workbooks, listening and watching DVD’s and CD’s in conjunction with lessons below. Spanish I students will learn to speak, read, write and listen to basic Spanish. The chapters are long, very concentrated and divided in two parts. Each Chapter in the Exprésate Textbook concentrates on a Spanish-speaking country. Student comprehension of the material depends on how fast we move. Different classes have different personalities. There are usually two field trips per year. One to the International Bazaar at Murray State University in November and one to the the Foreign Language Festival at Murray State University in March.)
