NIAGARA WHEATFIELD HIGH SCHOOL MORNING BULLETIN TODAY IS: Friday, April 20th – D Day Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team for another win yesterday against Niagara Falls High School. With a score of 14-9 the NW girls played a great game. Kelsi Linton had another awesome day in goal for the Falcons. Marissa Smith and Kassandra Bissell both had 3 goals apiece. Laura Messer and Megan Farnham both tallied 2 goals each. Christine Thomas, Mackenzie Oddo, Alexis Becker and Maddy Gansworth all scored goals as well. The JV girls softball team defeated LewPort las night 18 to 1. Marissa Hayes had 11 strikeouts and earned her second win on the mound. Lexy Gibson had 4 hits and 2 RBI's. Danielle Chatten had 3 hits, including a homerun and 2 RBI's. Nikki Dworzanski, Emily Downing, and Julia Swanson all had 2 hits and 2 RBI's for the lady falcons. Nice win ladies! The varsity baseball team improved to 2-0 in the Niagara Frontier League with a 14-4 road win at LewPort on Thursday. Tyler Wasieczko threw a complete game for the win, scattering 6 hits and striking out 8. Mike Parisi had three hits and 5 RBIs, including a 3-run HR. Bailey Cadwallader had a strong defensive game. Events: The Five Hour Driver Education class will be held on Wednesday, April 25th from 3 - 8 PM. It will be held in the Business LGI. You must bring $35.00 cash and your permit on the day of the class. To sign up or if you have any questions please see Mrs. Pyskaty in B105. Meetings: FRESHMAN playfest will meet in the AUD on Monday at 2:30. Deadlines/Sign Ups/Etc.: AP review schedules are now posted in the front hallway near the attendance office. Once again, it is time for early sign-ups for the After Prom Party. Sign up in front of Deputy Huff’s office for your chance to win prizes such as prom tickets, up do’s and nails, garters, and other gift certificates. Remember, you do not have to attend the prom to attend the After Prom Party. The deadline for early sign up is Friday, May 4. If you are planning on attending NW's Senior Prom this year and bringing a guest who does not attend NW, you will need to pick up a Guest Form. Forms are available in the Main Office. All forms need to be returned no later than Friday, May 4th. No tickets will be sold unless your guest has prior approval. Attention Music Students: Scholarship applications are now being accepted by the Music Parents Club for eligible music students. Please pick up your application in the Guidance Office as soon as possible. Applications are due no later than May 1st. Attention All Students: Any student wishing to re-take a Regents or RCT exam in June MUST register with Mrs. Greinert in the main office by 3:00 p.m. TODAY. This is only for students not currently in a class or AIS for that exam, who wish to get an Advanced Regents diploma or a higher grade. If you have any questions, please see your counselor.
