Monday
Students were concerned about their grades, so we did not get to this lesson plan. Instead, I let them
make up missed assignments.
STANDARDS
2. 2 Interpret spoken and written authentic target language materials and information on familiar topics.
 Recognizing main ideas and important details in expository texts
 Identifying the sequence of events in narrative texts
OBJECTIVES
Students speak in Spanish
Students read in Spanish
Students recognize conjugated verbs and vocabulary in a reading passage
FOCUS AND MOTIVATE
Read a report about cosmetic surgery in the world
TEACH




Re-teach cognates and stem-changing verb conjugation (to prepare students to read in Spanish)
Facilitate pronunciation lab (have students read aloud the passage.)
Facilitate paragraph writing lab about cosmetic surgery in the world and verb usage.
Students have been assigned a project entitled “Las cirugías estéticas”, so as time permits, I will
facilitate workshop on student project presentations.
IEP Modification
feasible.
pair with capable students, allow partial answers; one-to-one assistance when
PRACTICE AND APPLY
Students work in pairs to read the passage.
Answer guidance questions as they read
ASSESS AND RETEACH
Grade student answers to questions in Spanish about the reading.
