JUNIOR AND FRESHMAN INFORMATION ON-LINE YOUTH RISK BEHAVIOR SURVEY Beginning in early-April, students in grades 9 and 11 will be taking part in the Online Youth Risk Behavior Survey (OYRBS) sponsored by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the Green Bay Area Public School District. The survey will ask students to answer questions related to school safety—such as alcohol and other drug use and bullying, among others. The survey is designed to protect all students’ privacy, with steps taken throughout the survey process for all students to remain anonymous. Results of this survey help support programming designed to decrease at-risk behaviors in students while also increasing students’ achievement and engagement in school. We would like all students in grades 9 and 11 to complete the survey, however it is voluntary. Your student has the option not to answer every question in the OYRBS, or not take the survey. If you would like to review the survey, copies are available for viewing in the Preble High School main office and Student Services office. If you have any further questions or you do not want your child to take part in the survey, please contact Anne Tobias-Becker before March 10, 2014 at (920) 448-2238 or email at amtobias-becker@gbaps.org.
