8th Grade Berry Middle School Students:
Welcome to the first step in your high school academic journey. We are excited you are
joining SPHS in the fall.
The new course selection guide will be available on the SPHS website February 4, 2015.
I have included pages from the current course selection guide to assist you and your
parents in making critical decisions regarding your courses next year.

We are not anticipating any changes in the freshmen courses in the new course selection
guide. If there are changes based on your selections, you or your parents will be
contacted.
SPHS is adding 2 additional academies: Finance Academy and Information Technology
Academy. The first course in these academies is Career Preparedness. Informational
flyers for both of these programs are included your packet.
Lastly, remember to complete your course selection sheet, including parent signature
and teacher signatures (all math teachers and any PreAP courses). Your 4 year
plan also needs to be completed and signed by your parents.
Your appointment time is located on the outside of the envelope. I look forward to
meeting with each and every one of you.
