Thousand years ago, there was a war erupted between two countries,
Eastern Kingdom and Western Kingdom. One day, one of the most famous generals of Western Kingdom lost his battle, and become a captive of Eastern
Kingdom, since he refused to surrender to the enemy, he got killed by the king of
Eastern Kingdom. And his best war horse, Cloud, was given to a Eastern
Kingdom general by the King as a spoil.
One day, the stable master reported to the King that the war horse Cloud refused to eat anything and going to be died by starving soon. The King was very worry about this, so he found an enchanter who has a special ability that able to talk with horses to help him solve the problem.
The enchanter went to the stable, he saw Cloud lied down on the ground, looked like an old man was suffered by sick for a long time, its eyes were inane and spirtless such as a despairing man waiting to the end of the life. The enchanter used his ability to read the mind of the war horse, then he found that in
Cloud’s mind is fullfilled with the memories of its dead ex-master, and the only thing it want was go to another world to company with him.
The enchanter put this hand on Clound’s head and tried to persuade it.
“ I know you are missing your ex-master, but he is dead already, he finished his job in this world, and no one can resurrect him. But to be one of the best war horse in this world, your duty is still not done yet, you should keep stronger as before and help your new master to finish the war.”

“ No… you don’t understand, enchanter !” Cloud responed with a kind of sorrow whinnied, “ In my entire life, I servied totally three different masters. My first master caught me at my birthplace, he was a powerful man but I feel shamed stay with him, because he killed his lord for himself’s personal satisfied, and seize d his lord’s land and treasures. He was a demon, I hate him!”
“Yes, I’ve heard about that before,” the enchanter said, “then you was given to his strongest general, the man that was one of the greatest generals before, he should worth you to serve, right?”
A rueful smile was showing on the war horse face, and it said “ it was not.
My second master, I thought he was strong and good enough to be my real master, but I never thought about he was a betrayer. He fight for people that can gave him higher benefit only, even they ask him to kill the men that helped him before. Had served a betrayer like him was my biggest mistake in my life!”
The sound of Cloud came to more weakness and powerless, “ then, I met my third master, the master that I was looking for long time.” The enchanter found that there was something shinning in the war horse’s eyes. He knew the master that Cloud talking about, its ex-master, the general that died couple weeks ago, the great general that devoted his whole life for his country, an honorable man that even he was an enemy, his name was alreay became a legend in this world.
“ When I first time met my real master, he was worrying about his king, his older brother, they dispersed after a horrifying battle, and he had no idea where

the king was at that moment. Then he found me, my second master, that betrayer, was killed by him in the battle. I still remember how happy when he saw me, and he said “Cloud! the best and fast war horse in this world, if I ride with you then I can find my king as soon as possible whenever he is!” Cloud stopped talking at here and watched the sky for awhile. “Then, he became my only master in last 10 years, in those 10 years, we fought together on the battle, I saw he protected his people once and once again, I hear d he refused all enemy’s threaten or tempation without any consideration.”
“sign…” the enchanter’s sounds with regret, “your master was a exactily trustable man, his name will be remembered by gereration and generation.”
The tears dropped from Cloud’s eyes, “My master kept his loyalty for his whole life, to be his war horse, I will do the same choise as he did, for the loyalty,
I will choose to die than serve my master’s enemy!” after these words, Cloud lied down its body on the ground and finally died.
The enchanter reported the conversation to the King of the Eastern
Kingdom. The king was moved and shocked, then he said “Even a war horse can keep loyalty like this, why can’t human being!?”
At the end, to show the respect of Cloud’s loyalty, the Eastern Kingdom king ordered his soldier to bury its body together with its master.
