Name: ______________________________________ Date: ________________ Period: ______________ Unit One: Texas-Sized Geography Pre-AP TEXAS SUBREGIONS Expert Groups Graphic Organizer & Activity Directions: Your class has been divided into twelve groups and assigned one of the Texas Subregions. Students in each group will work together to research and collect information about their subregion from chapter 2 pages 48-69. You may make “bullet-point lists” of all the information. You may not find all the answers in the text to your graphic organizer (that’s okay). Once each group has collected all of the information on their subregion, they will present their information to another subregion group. Each group will continue to present their subregion information until the Graphic Organizer containing all four of the Texas Regions (with all twelve subregions) has been fully completed. You will have two class periods to gather and present your information to other group members. You will also record information that other groups members have collected as well. In other words, you will listen to other groups presentations of their findings and record it in your organizer. NOTE: Present your information verbally! Do NOT copy other people’s work or allow them to copy yours!!!
