PROFESSOR ANNA BONOLA

COURSE AIMS
The course will introduce the student to the theory and practice of the Russian
phonetic-phonological system to enable them to grasp its communicative value and
improve their language skills.
In addition, the course will survey the Slavic languages and their origins and study
the international transliteration system.
COURSE CONTENT
Phonetics and intonation
The student will learn about the theory and practice of the principles of the Russian
phonetic system and the seven models of Russian intonation.
