LAYERS OF THE EARTH PROJECT Directions: Make a 3-dimensional model of the layers inside the Earth. Use different colors for the 4 main layers of the Earth (use your notes and handouts). Also correctly show and label the zones of the Lithosphere and Asthenosphere. OR Make a 3- dimensional model of the layers outside the Earth. Use different colors AND examples for each layer. Also show each layer clearly labeled. Atmosphere Hydrosphere Cryosphere Biosphere Geosphere Try to make your layers proportionate (that is- they should be adjusted in size relative to other sizes) Due Date is Monday, November 23, 2015 Requirements: . 3-Dimentional model that is smaller than soccer ball, but larger than a tennis ball. Must have 4 different colors OR MORE for your Earth layers. Include the Lithosphere and Asthenosphere zones. Label the layers and zones. Proportion is important. (Proportion is getting the sizes of objects correct in relation to other objects.) So, the crust should clearly appear to be the thinnest layer. Include an index card with your name, the steps you used in constructing your masterpiece, and list materials you used. Be creative! Make your model & labels neat. Be proud of your work. Spelling counts! Make sure your name and class period are visible on project. See grading rubric on 2nd page for more guidance.
