Chalk, Chert, Coal, Conglomerate, Coquina, Dolomite, Flint, Greywacke, Gritstone, Laterite, Lignite, Limestone, Marl, Mudstone, Oolite, Sandstone, Shale, Siltstone, Travertine, Wackestone IGNEOUS (intrusions) Andesite, Basalt, Diorite, Gabbro, Granite, Rhyolite METAMORPHIC (folded layers) Gneiss, Hornfels, Marble, Phyllite, Quartzite, Schist, Slate Index Fossils Oldest Echinoderms Gastropods Bivalves Foraminifera Ammonoids Corals Ostracods Brachiopods Conodonts Graptolites Nautiloids Trilobites Archaeocyathids Cut, paste and label at least 3 fossils onto your sedimentary rock layers. Be sure to place the older ones in the bottom layers and the younger ones on top. You will name them on the back in your geologic column. (see example on the instructional sheet)
