WHEREAS, section 14-101 of the City’s Code of Ordinances, as may be amended,

authorize the imposition and collection of lot maintenance and clean up against property
21
throughout the City; and

RESOLUTION NO. 2013 –
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HALLANDALE
BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE TOTAL SUM
OF THE ANNUAL LOT MAINTENANCE AND CLEAN
UP ASSESSMENT; SETTING THE AMOUNT
ASSESSED AGAINST EACH AFFECTED PARCEL OF
PROPERTY FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR JULY 1,
2012 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2013; PROVIDING FOR
THE USE OF THE UNIFORM METHOD OF
COLLECTION; PROVIDING FOR RATIFICATION;
AND PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 14-101, the City utilizes the uniform method of levy,

collection and enforcement of the assessment, as authorized by Chapter 197, Florida Statutes; and
24
WHEREAS, section 14-101 further authorize the annual collection of total unpaid assessed
25
amounts for lot maintenance and clean up against each assessed parcel of property within the City
26
of Hallandale Beach.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
HALLANDALE BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1.
The total unpaid assessments amounts for lot maintenance and cleanup

to be paid through levy and collection against the schedule of assessed properties within the City is
32
twenty seven thousand seven hundred ninety eight dollars and thirty five cents ($27,798.35).

SECTION 2.
In accordance with section 14-101 of the Hallandale Beach Code of

Ordinances, and general law, properties are assessed for those untimely unpaid assessments for
36
calendar year July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013 in the following schedule.

SECTION 3. The assessments shall be billed and collected as provided in section 14-101

of the Hallandale Beach Code of Ordinances and shall be the assessed amounts unless and until

modified by Resolution.

All other provisions of the assessment process are ratified and
confirmed.

SECTION 5.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
