Warriors Show BIG Improvement at Buffalo Grove TRI 4 1 On Tuesday February 26th the Warriors Boys Track & Field competed in the always tough BG TRI with Buffalo Grove and Conant. This meet is always a great follow up to the 1st meet as we want to see great improvement in the Boys Track and Field fundamentals. That was for sure the case again this year as the boys gave great effort and really had a solid meet in which the coaches saw better handoffs, cleaner hurdling, and much better technique in the jumps and track races. The coaches once again wanted to get a “look” at some of our new athletes and those who had not had a chance to compete yet as we posted a lineup that gave some of our boys just a couple events to focus on as we wanted to see who could provide much needed quality depth to the team. Overall it was a great meet for the program as the Varsity with a very limited lineup finished 2nd to a GOOD BG squad and the F/S finished 1st with a very impressive meet overall and really showed a lot of team depth that really took over midway through the meet. What a great weekend from Plainfield to BG to start the season as we came out pretty healthy and got a very good look at what we have to work with. We need all the #’1s to help build the “41”. *NOW the focus purely becomes the weight room, the video room, and the workouts we must put in the next three weeks to come out of this cycle more fundamentally sound, more fit, and especially tough as Warriors are expected to be!
