“8” is Great for the 212 Warriors
On Saturday March 9th the Deerfield Boys Track & Field Team Traveled
to Highland Park HS and competed in the annual Deerfield vs. Highland
Park Indoor Duel Meet. This meet is always an example of what is best
in High School Athletics as both teams simply give their all and go at
each other at another level. Coming into the meet Deerfield had been
seriously searching for an identity and on this day they found it. The
boys competed with intensity, passion, and guts that are truly
representative of the 212 BOIL we have been looking for all season. It
all came together at this meet and boy was it fun to watch as the
Varsity won with a score of 76-50 for the 8th year in a row!
Our F/S (after losing last year for the 1st time in 8 years) brought it back
with a 70-54 win! The coaches, alumni, and parents could have not
been more proud of the effort that was put out on the track and field
on this day. What a meet and what a very special win for the Deerfield
Track & Field Program on both levels. 8 in a row Boys!
