surfaces. Chinese researchers have formulated a UV-curable solvent-free antifouling coating The Phthalazinone-based
epoxy methacrylate antifouling can effectively prevent marine organisms attaching for six months.
To bring more value to its businesses, companies have been continuously active: Emerald Kalama Chemical expands its
plant in The Netherlands, Lanxess inaugurates a new plant in Germany and Evonik announces its groundbreaking
ceremony for a new plant in China.

distributing the full range of products from Dow Fabric and
Surface Care to Italy, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden
at the beginning of the year.

Groundbreaking ceremony for Evonik’s new hydrogen peroxide plant in Jilin (China)
The new plant is scheduled to go online at the end of 2013.
The company plans to raise its annual production capacity for
hydrogen peroxide by nearly 40 percent.
