JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: District Multi-Tier System of Support (MTSS)/RtI Coach QUALIFICATIONS: At least five years of successful teaching experience and/or experience with RtI/MTSS in some other position such as School Psychologist, administrator, or curriculum coach. Knowledge of research findings in a MTSS which includes Responsiveness to Instruction (RtI) and Positive Behavior Support (PBIS) Knowledge and proven expertise in assessment of literacy preferably mCLASS, AIMSweb and SchoolNet Ability to communicate effectively with students, adults, and administration Ability to develop others with effective coaching strategies Desire to work hard and passionately seek success for all students Ability to translate good ideas into action REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Director of Elementary Education Director of Exceptional Children DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist district and school administrators in the implementation of multi-tier systems of support using balanced assessments to inform literacy, math and behavior. Monitor and report out student achievement data associated with the multi-tier assessments such as mCLASS, AIMSweb, and SchoolNet. Provide professional development for administrators, certified staff, and non-certified staff on Multi-Tier Systems/RtI, balanced assessments, assessment literacy, and application of achievement data for effective instruction. Provide coaching and assistance to certified and classified staff in schools to improve student achievement. Provides leadership and assists school personnel by providing support for learning opportunities and for promoting high expectations for all students. Assists school Cabinet and/or MTSS/RtI Teams in evaluating, purchasing, distributing, and supporting intervention materials and strategies. Assists schools in developing strategic plans for intervention and growth for all students. MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT: 11 months
