2016 Senior Announcements
Baby Picture-- Please send the yearbook staff a photograph of you as a baby before October 1st to
include in the yearbook. Your photograph can be scanned in by the yearbook staff and returned. If you
would rather email us your picture, send it to ideryearbook@gmail.com. Make sure to include your full
name in the file name.
Senior Portraits-- Seniors must have a formal and a casual portrait made by Prestige Portraits by
Lifetouch in order to be included in the yearbook. If you did not keep your appointment at the school in
July, you must contact Lifetouch at (423) 892-1332 to set up a studio appointment. You should have your
studio senior portraits made by October 24th. The on-campus makeup day for senior portraits is October
29th. Contact Lifetouch for sitting fee information.
School and Library Fees-- If you owe a fee to the school, please pay Mrs. Frazier as soon as possible. If
you owe a library fee or lost a library book, see Mrs. Thomas. You will not be allowed to graduate until
all fees are paid.
Scholarships-- Listen to morning announcements, check the board outside Ms. Byrum’s office, and
check Ms. Byrum’s website for scholarship deadlines. Update your resume (check in your Google Docs
account) to use for scholarship applications. If you receive a scholarship or special award, please tell Ms.
Byrum so you can be recognized at Senior Night and featured in the yearbook.
Fall Pictures-- Fall pictures will be made September 17th with a make-up day on October 29th. Please
have a fall photo taken even though you will have the senior portrait in the yearbook. The school day
photos are used with our computer systems for your transcript and for your lunch account.
2016 Yearbooks-- Yearbooks will be sold at school in October and in February. Yearbooks are $50 or
$55 with a name on the cover. You may also order your yearbook online at any time through February at
balfour.com.
Spring Pictures-- Spring pictures will be made March 18th. These photos are optional for seniors.
Graduation Fees-- $70-- Should be paid by February (see Coach Gardner).
Graduation Attire-- You will need your graduation attire for cap and gown photos.
Guys- black dress pants, white shirt, dark tie, black or dark brown dress shoes (no sandals or
athletic shoes)
Girls- dark dress or skirt, black dress heels -- no sandals, flats, or slippers (You may want to
purchase these during the winter since black shoes are hard to find in the warmer months. Wedge
heels work best on the football field.)
Cap and Gown Pictures-- Cap and gown photos will be made April 7th. You should be prepared to
wear the same attire you will wear for graduation.
Prom-- Prom will be April 30th. If you did not fundraise or pay to attend prom your junior year, you
must pay $200 to attend as a senior. See Mrs. Stanford for more information or to pay your fee.
Senior DVD-- There will be a DVD of senior events from throughout the year available. Mrs. Freeman
will take orders for the Senior DVD in May.
