Title: Kings and Queens
Timescale: 6 weeks
Rationale: The children will gain an understanding of the changes in the monarchy over time and who the main characters were. They will understand who is in our
present royal family and the order of succession.
The Big Questions: Who were the key monarchs in the UK, how are they related and how has the monarchy changed over time?
Hook: Create an interactive display of the monarchs showing the houses they belong to and their succession.
Take-Away Task: The children will pick a royal house and present information about the monarchs and how they are related to each other.
