Support effective analysis of school’s instructional data. a) Acquire and maintain expertise in analyzing data. b) In collaboration with the principal, content lead teachers, and other staff use data meaningfully to plan program improvements. c) In collaboration with the principal and leadership team plan and conduct school data meetings to analyze student growth, student, achievement and set goals for the cycle of continuous improvement. d) Support meaningful use of data through collaboration with the principal and/or leadership team meetings, as appropriate. e) In collaboration with the principal and/or leadership team provide ongoing support to school staff in using information to better inform instruction and achieve school management plan goals. Goal 2. Support educators’ understanding of Department of Instruction areas of foci in support of increasing student progress. a) Acquire and maintain expertise in the Teacher/Specialist Performance Standards and Department of Instruction area of foci through participation in APS offered coursework/workshops (examples include: UbD Seminar, SIOP, TESA, Cultural Competence, etc.). b) Use purposeful planning to implement Department of Instruction areas of foci through school goals and focus. c) Offer professional learning opportunities on Department of Instruction areas of foci based upon direction of building administration and needs of the staff. (e.g. conduct a study group, teach a graduate course or seminar, facilitate peer observations, etc.) d) As part of regular ILT meetings, participate in review of teaching examples in practice as needed. e) Collaborate with principal and content lead teachers in promoting highly effective/effective teaching practices aligned with the Department of Instruction areas of foci. f) Collaborate with administrator to arrange to model teaching to demonstrate highly effective/effective teaching practices addressing the Department of Instruction areas of foci when appropriate. 1st quarter 2nd quarter 3rd quarter 4th quarter Goal 3. Provide a communications link between teachers, principals, community and Education Center staff a) Develop an ILT Leadership Plan in collaboration with the principal that indicates how each ILT leadership goal will be addressed and assessed in alignment with the school management plan. Submit the ILT Leadership Plan by requested date. b) In coordination with the principal, collect and reflect upon evidence of accomplishment of ILT Leadership Plan goals and submit twice a year. (by January and May) c) Have knowledge of and assist in disseminating Arlington Public School strategic goals, annual priorities and the school management plan. d) Prepare for and actively participate in the monthly Instructional Lead Teacher meetings and regularly utilize established communication methods such as Blackboard and email.
