JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Vice President, Commercial Banking PREPARATION DATE: 10/24/2014 FLSA STATUS: Exempt SALARY/GRADE: 40E DEPARTMENT: Commercial Banking LOCATION: SFC REPORTS TO: VP, Commercial Banking – Team Leader APPROVED DATE: 10/24/2014 _________________ POSITION PURPOSE: The Vice President, Commercial Banking performs commercial lending duties that enhance the bank’s loan and deposit portfolio, complies with banking and lending regulations, and contributes to the attainment of bank revenue and profitability targets. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Education required is equivalent to a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field. A minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of Commercial Banking experience. CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE: Valid driver’s license in the State of Wisconsin and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle while observing traffic regulations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Ability to operate a personal computer, banking related applications and general office equipment. Ability to read and comprehend government regulations, system documentation manuals, memoranda, requests, loan applications, title reports, flood reports, insurance policies and policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking ability and accuracy. Strong knowledge of commercial banking procedures and legal requirements. DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Develops and enhances new customer relationships to qualified prospects, selling commercial banking services and closing commercial loans. Develops and enhances existing customer relationships to sell commercial banking services, processes new or modified loan requests, answers lending process related questions and closes commercial loans. Reviews commercial loan related financial statements and / or information to comply with bank loan underwriting standards and banking / lending rules and regulations. Prepares and presents loan requests to the Loan and/or Directors Committees for review and approval. Monitors commercial banking operations such as delinquent loans and overdrawn accounts. Calls on customers to rectify these situations. Collection of information for existing customer relationships to ensure compliance with on-going reporting requirements. Participates in non-profit organization service activities, serving on boards and committees, as required. Attends social and special events, serving as a bank representative. Attends banking related classes and seminars. LEADERSHIP ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES: Assumes leadership role in the absence of the Vice President, Commercial Banking – Team Leader.
