POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

A Postdoctoral Research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Nandini Ghosh-Choudhury, at the
Department of Pathology, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas, USA. This
laboratory runs two or more projects at a time in the area of diabetic bone disorder, osteoporosis and
cancer prevention. I am seeking a committed post-doctoral fellow with clear scientific understanding in
these areas. The candidate needs to have experience in general molecular and cellular biological
techniques including molecular cloning, DNA and RNA analysis, real time PCR analysis for gene
expression and microRNA expression, mammalian cell culture, gene transfection, promoter analysis by
luciferase reporter assay technique, animal handling, breast cancer assay technique using xenograft
model, protein analysis by Western Blotting and immunoprecipitation assays among others. The
successful candidate needs to be proficient in data analysis, designing experimental strategy and
prepare manuscripts. Preference will be given to self-motivated candidate and ample training
opportunities will be provided for career development.
