in a clear bag tied shut; no larger
than a basketball.)
 NOT RECYCLABLE: formed
Styrofoam, packing peanuts, and
oil bottles
METALS
 Tin and Aluminum Food, Beverage
and Aerosol Cans (lids removed)
 Small Items of Scrap Metal (pots,
pans, toasters, etc.)
o Nothing small than 2 inches
or larger than a basketball
and weighing more than 10
pounds.
RECYCLING FACTS
 105,784 Aluminum Cans are recycled every minute
worldwide.
 8 out of 10 Plastic Bottles become landfill waste.
 In 2007, the amount of paper recovered for
recycling averaged 360 pounds for every person in
the United States.
 Glass containers are 100% recyclable, can be
recycled endlessly and recovered glass is used as
the majority ingredient in new glass.
