Introduces economic systems, essential elements of business organization, finance, marketing, production, and risk and human resource management. BUS 165 W2- Small Business Management (3 cr.) Identifies management concerns unique to small businesses. Introduces the requirements necessary to initiate a small business, and identifies the elements comprising a business plan. Concepts covered include database searching, computer applications, information security, privacy, and use of intellectual property. Course covers the use of spreadsheet software to create spreadsheets with formatted cells and cell ranges, control pages, multiple sheets, charts, and macros. Includes topics such as type and edit text in a cell, enter data on multiple worksheets, work with formulas and functions, create charts, pivot tables, and styles, insert headers and footers, and filter data. ITE 170 W1 - Multimedia Software (3 cr.) Explores technical fundamentals of creating multimedia projects with related hardware and software. Introduces background knowledge needed to be prepared for a wilderness adventure. Covers what to do in a planned and an unplanned extended wilderness experience.
