Myth Reflection
Myth Examination
There are several attributes with of good writing. First, there is proper grammar. I use
proper grammar throughout my myth. I use the proper words when talking about plurals. Then,
another attribute of good writing is decent sentence structure. In my myth I use a decent variety of
sentence structure. An example of this from my myth is, “Because she was a solitary creature, she
moved from place to place every night.” Finally, another attribute of good writing is good
paragraph structure. I use good paragraph structure throughout my myth. Each paragraph has more
than two sentences and the paragraphs flow nicely throughout the whole myth. In conclusion, three
attributes of good writing are proper grammar, decent sentence structure, and proper paragraph
structure.
There are a few things that a reader would expect in a well-written composition. First, a
reader would expect proper spelling. Throughout my myth I made sure that I was using the proper
spelling of each word. I checked my myth several times for spelling errors and used spell check
several times. Next, a reader would expect proper punctuation. Throughout the myth I placed
periods at the end of all my sentences. I even put commas in their proper places. Finally, a reader
would expect a storyline in this kind of writing. Since this is a myth, a reader would expect some
kind of a storyline. I have some form of a storyline in the myth. I have a beginning, middle, climax,
and end in my myth. In the end, a reader would expect proper punctuation, spelling, and a decent
storyline in this myth.
There are a few things that identify academic effort in a writing. First of all, length is one.
How long a piece is can determine how much work was put into a piece of writing. It shows, at
the very least, that the writer spent some time on their work. Another thing would be thought. If
you can see a writer’s thought in their writing, it shows that they actually thought about it rather
than just throw a bunch of words together. My myth shows that I put some effort into in the
wording. It shows that I put some thought into it, even if it’s not very long. I honestly didn’t spend
more than a few hours on my myth. I would say for effort on my myth I would be at a B-. In
conclusion, there needs to be length and texture in your writing to show academic effort.
I have a couple of writing goals for my next piece of writing. First, I need to spend more
time actually writing my pieces. I tend to spend a very short amount of time to write. Next, I should
get an early start on the assignment. I have a tendency to procrastinate when I am assigned an
assignment. Finally, I should look at what the teacher wants in an essay. I usually just write and
turn in an assignment without thinking about what the teacher would want in an assignment. In the
end, there are a few things that I’m shooting to improve upon in my next writing piece.
