Giacomo Germani (MD, PhD) Giacomo Germani (MD, PhD) graduated from Padova University in 2005 and he completed his residency in Gastroenterology at Padova University Hospital until 2010 under the supervision of Prof. Patrizia Burra. He spent 4 years as a research fellow at the Royal Free Hospital in London, under the supervision of Prof. Andrew K. Burroiughs where he focused his research on acute liver failure and on immune monitoring before and after liver transplantation. He earned his Doctoral degree in Hepatology and Regenerative Medicine in 2013 from the University of Padova. In 2013, Dr. Germani joined the Multivisceral Transplant Unit (Padova University Hospital) as Consultant Hepatologist. He is also got the title of Fellow of European Board of Transplant Medicine in 2011. Giacomo Germani became member of the EASL young investigator Concerted Action Group in 2013. He is also member of the governing board of the European Liver and Intestine Transplant Association (ELITA), member of the International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS) Educational Committee and member of the Italian Association for the Study of the Liver (AISF).
