Textbook Adoption Deadlines for 2013/14
March 18, 2013
In an effort to contain the course material costs for students and meet the requirements of the Higher Education
Opportunity Act we are supplying this schedule for the 2013/14 school year.
The timely selection of textbooks by faculty members is critical for the University of Idaho to help reduce or contain
course materials costs for students and comply with the HEOA. The HEOA requires that book titles, ISBN numbers and
retail pricing of all required and recommended textbooks and supplies for courses be available for student review
prior to registration.* The University of Idaho’s VandalStore is responsible for posting this information online at
www.VandalStore.com. Course material information is accessible by students via TextbookExpress from the Vandal
Web Registration Menu or links from University of Idaho’s Time Schedule. Below we have provided the deadlines to
submit your course materials information.
Please note: the process for faculty to submit their textbook and supply information to the University of Idaho
VandalStore remains the same. For any needed assistance the VandalStore educational resource team can be
reached at the contact information below.

*We recognize that there are unique situations where it may not be possible to have textbook information available
by these dates: the instructor has not yet been assigned for a course, the course is new and still under development,
or the textbook is new and still under development. For these situations, the legislation requires that textbook
information be listed as “To Be Determined” until such time as the information is available and be made available as
soon as possible. The University of Idaho VandalStore will continue to update the system with new information for
courses after the initial deadline, to provide students with the most accurate and up‐to‐date information as
possible.
