Join us in a world of buckets, castle building, spinning and tumbling in this delightful show for under 3s which explores sand in new and exciting ways. With no words, and accompanied by an evocative soundtrack of world music, Circles in the Sand is an intimate, imaginative and captivating play, providing the perfect introduction to theatre for the very young. At the end of the performance, children are invited onto the stage to delight in the feel of the sand as it trickles between toes and fingers and in interactive play session. Circles in the Sand is created by award-winning theatre director Sarah Argent and performed by the enchanting actor Marleen Vermeulen. It is one of several productions that form part of Half Moon Presents, the producing arm of Half Moon, supporting the promotion and development of theatre for young audiences at a national and international level. The company is known for work with a multi-cultural focus drawing upon original stories from across the world using puppetry and simple storytelling. In the past three years Tam Tam has started to focus upon creating work non-verbal work for very young children including babies. Circles in the Sand is the first in a series of plays she has developed. Curious, also in the Half Moon presents portfolio, is her second.
