AN INTIMATE, IMAGINATIVE AND CAPTIVATING PLAY FOR
UNDER 3S EXPLORING SAND IN NEW AND EXCITING WAYS
COMES TO HALF MOON THEATRE ON SATURDAY
14 NOVEMBER
Circles in the Sand, an intimate, imaginative and captivating play for the very young by Tam Tam
Theatre, comes to Half Moon Theatre on Saturday 14 November for three performances at 10am,
12pm and 2pm.
Join us in a world of buckets, castle building, spinning and tumbling in this delightful show for under
3s which explores sand in new and exciting ways. With no words, and accompanied by an evocative
soundtrack of world music, Circles in the Sand is an intimate, imaginative and captivating play,
providing the perfect introduction to theatre for the very young.
At the end of the performance, children are invited onto the stage to delight in the feel of the sand
as it trickles between toes and fingers and in interactive play session.
Circles in the Sand is created by award-winning theatre director Sarah Argent and performed by the
enchanting actor Marleen Vermeulen. It is one of several productions that form part of Half Moon
Presents, the producing arm of Half Moon, supporting the promotion and development of theatre
for young audiences at a national and international level.

Circles in the Sand runs for three performances on Saturday 14 November at 10am, 12pm and 2pm

ABOUT TAM TAM THEATRE
Tam Tam Theatre was established in 1993 by Marleen Vermeulen, who is originally from Belgium.
The company is known for work with a multi-cultural focus drawing upon original stories from across
the world using puppetry and simple storytelling. In the past three years Tam Tam has started to
focus upon creating work non-verbal work for very young children including babies. Circles in the
Sand is the first in a series of plays she has developed. Curious, also in the Half Moon presents
portfolio, is her second.
