Job Purpose:
Improve Lonza’s competitive offering to customers through the early adoption of an advanced bioscience knowledge
management system

Improve management and access to business-critical scientific data

Improve quality, knowledge and speed of service to customers

Achieve a significant proportion of “operational excellence” efficiency savings targeted in Lonza’s business plan
Associate 1: Deliver the above benefits biased towards cell culture, molecular biology, fermentation and linkage to corporate IT
systems.
Associate 2: Deliver the above benefits biased towards Analytical Development and GMP validation of this system and its
configuration.
Key Accountabilities/Primary Responsibilities (6-10 bullet points maximum)

Become expert in the use of specialist science knowledge management software

Contribute 50% of work package delivery for the implementation of the Knowledge Management
System at Lonza Development Services.

Understand, and be able communicate, the relationship between the company’s commercial objectives
and the implementation of the science knowledge management system

Understand and be able to communicate the scope and timing of the overall deployment of the
Knowledge Management System.

To harvest and publicise best-practice in knowledge management to Lonza Development Services
managers
