SAUK VALLEY WRESTLING CLUB
ZERO TOLERANCE PARTICIPANT/PARENT POLICY
Welcome to the Sauk Valley Wrestling Club program. SVWC has been organized to
teach, develop and promote youth wrestling for all Sauk Valley kids. SVWC strives to be
a competitive organization that recognizes the importance of emphasizing good
sportsmanship. With this in mind, we have developed a participant/parent contract to
help explain and clarify some of our clubs and IKFW expectations, rules and guidelines
directly related to participant/parent conduct. This contract will support, but does not
override, our clubs or IKWF’s bylaws rules and regulations. This contract will help
inform everyone, in advance, of what is expected. If this contract is followed, the
season will go much smoother and be more rewarding for everyone involved.
WRESTLER/PARENT
SVWC is responsible for the conduct of all wrestlers, fans parents, and coaches within
the program. Our organization expects nothing but the utmost respect and
sportsmanship from all of our wrestlers and parents when it comes time to dealing with
fellow wrestlers, coaches, opponents and officials. Unacceptable conduct/behavior
could damage the reputation of SVWC as well as remove valuable points for the
WRESTLER/TEAM at State tournaments. It is everyone’s responsibility to monitor your
behavior during tournaments and practices.
Please read the following guidelines and expectations:
1. Profanity of any type will not be tolerated at any time. This includes all SVWC activities such
as tournaments, practices, board meetings, banquets, on any Social Media, etc.
2. Verbal threats, physical confrontations or bullying of any kind between fellow /opposing
parents, wrestlers, coaches, fans or officials will not be tolerated at any time or place. Any
threats of these types of actions verbally or on any Social Media are completely unacceptable
and will be reviewed and acted upon immediately by the Board and may result in permanent
expulsion from future SVWC events for the wrestler/parent involved.
3. Possessing, using or being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other controlled
substance(s) is strictly prohibited at all SVWC EVENTS or Club attended tournaments. Any
violation of this rule will result in the immediate removal of all parties involved. Furthermore,
all parties involved will be PERMANENTLY banned from all SVWC events.

All wrestler’s/parents and coaches are expected to fully support the SVWC program and
promote a positive environment for everyone involved. We do not expect
participants/parents to agree on every decision that needs to be made, but we do
expect everyone involved in the program to treat people with dignity and respect. If
you have an issue, please discuss them with the Head Coach so he can be informed
and work to correct the issue. If you feel the problem has not been corrected the
issue can be brought to the attention of the Board. We ask that a professional manner
be maintained at all time. Any negative or degrading comments in public or on any
Social Media concerning the Club, coaches and or wrestlers will not be tolerated. The
Board members and Coaches are committed to making sure that this youth wrestling
program be a positive experience for the kids in our community. By reviewing and
signing this contract, we know that you as a participant/parent are committed as well.
As a SVWC participant/parent, I hereby recognize and fully understand the contents of
the ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY. I also understand that this wrestler/parent contract
covers the entire SVWC PROGRAM. I will fully support the ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY at
all times and understand that wrestler/parent conduct is a crucial ingredient to the
success of our program. Furthermore, I understand that the SVWC BOARD has the final
say in all disciplinary matters.
I FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT VIOLATIONS OF THIS COMTRACT, IN ANY WAY, COULD RESULT IN THE
SUSPENSION OR PERMANENT EXPLUSION OF WRESTLER/PARENT FROM SVWC PROGRAM.
