Stateline Wrestling Club Code of Conduct The Stateline Wrestling Club membership, board members and coaches have put forth great effort to develop a club of which we can all be proud. Great time and commitment has gone into establishing a strong foundation with solid beliefs and core values. How we conduct ourselves on and off the mat reflects on the participant, our Club, and the Stateline family. We always want to have the respect and status as one of the best clubs in the state. Parent Pledge As a Stateline Club parent, I acknowledge that I’m a role model and remember that athletics are experiences for kids that provide them positive traits to guide them through life. • I will provide positive behavior, support, and encouragement, especially at “matside.” • I will support the coaches and work to extend the their teachings while upholding the Stateline values. • I will show respect for all other wrestlers, coaches, referees and spectators. • I will never approach an opposing wrestler, coach, or referee without showing them respect. • I understand what I say and what I do, reflects directly on my wrestler, the club, and myself. As a Stateline Club parent, I hereby accept by responsibility of being a positive role model. Parent Disciplinary Action I realize and understand that if I violate this pledge I will be subject to disciplinary action. 1. The 1st offense will be handled with a discussion and warning. (Determined by Coach) 2. The 2nd offense will result in a 2-week suspension from being mat side during your Child’s match or from practice. (Determined by Coach & Club Vice President) 3. The 3rd offense will result in the remainder of the year suspension from being mat side during your Child’s match or from practice. (Approved by Board) __________________________________ Signature ________________ Date Wrestlers Pledge As a Stateline Club wrestler, I acknowledge that I represent the Stateline Wrestling Club and the local community. I understand that wrestling and other athletic activities teach me sportsmanship, self-discipline, and confidence; Traits that will last me a lifetime. • I will respect my teammates on and off the mat. I will strive to be the best partner that I can be at all times. • I will never purposely try to harm my teammates or opponents. • I will respect the coaches and practice facility by not running around or goofing off before or after practice. • I will show respect for all other wrestlers, coaches, referees and spectators. I will shake hands after every match in a respectful manner. • I will participate by the rules of the sport and exhibit good sportsmanship at all times. • I will always strive to perform at my best. • As a Stateline Club wrestler, I hereby accept by responsibility of being a model of good sportsmanship. Disciplinary Action Not all violations are the same, therefore it is important to note that the discipline will fit the violation. I realize and understand that if I violate this Pledge or Policy I will be subject to disciplinary action. 1. The 1stoffense will typically be handled with a discussion and oral warning. After multiple discussions for minor offenses the wrestler and parent will be informed that the next offense will count move to the next level. (Determined by Coach) 2. The 2nd offense will result in a formal written warning. (Determined by the Coach) 3. The 3rd offense will result in a 1-week suspension from practice. (Determined by Coach & Vice President) 4. The 4th offense will result in expulsion from the club. (Determined by Board) I have read and accept this Code of Conduct.
