Conduct an internet search for 'Face Jugs'. Sketch several faces that appeal to you. Maybe you could find one that reminds you of your mom or dad. You could make the mugs look like them! Tuesday 1. Perspective drawing is due for a Peer Assessment. Please throw away all tape, wipe board clean and put away, and sign your name on your paper. Put up all perspective drawings on boards for a critique. 2. Look at ceramic examples and discuss how they were made. 3. Pinchpot: review poster, ppt, and make four small pinchpots with walls 1/4" thick (look at your pencil). Do not allow clay to touch the table: Always work pinchpots in your hands, not pressing down on the table. 4. Clean up Routine and chores: dump buckets, organize cart, clean clay tables, check floor, sinks. 5. All pottery must fit on your tray and not be taller than 9” to fit on the cart shelves. No exceptions! Consider different shapes for your vessel base: rectangle, triangle, oval. See the poster about vessel shapes. Be sure your vessel is stable: it won’t fall over easily. 6. Kiln room tours. Wednesday-Veterans' Day: no school Thursday 1. Refer to coil poster technique.
