Unit Title: Year 8 ‘Underwater Vessels’.
SPRING 2
Description of Unit / Unit Overview: Students to sculpt an underwater vessel using different mark-making techniques in the style of Paul Klee. Once completed
sculptures will be fired and painted.
Key Learning Objectives:

Homework opportunities:
1) Draw a sea creature. Create a detailed drawing of a turtle using the
sheet provided.
Challenge: To include as much detail and pattern as you can to the shell
and scales.

2) Koi Carp are featured heavily in Japanese art. Have a go at drawing one
on the sheet provided. Add colour to your work in pencil.
Challenge: To draw the fish scales and water in as much detail as you
can.
