I currently work as a Scientist for NanoRETE,Inc- a Michigan based biomedical startup company, where
I am an integral part of a research team that is developing an Electrochemical multiplex nano-bead
biosensor for the rapid and sensitive detection of food pathogens.
I have participated in various team assignments that developed solutions for challenging problems
pertaining to the Health Care Industry. I have worked on hardware, software and biomaterial based
projects throughout my coursework, which I believe has enhanced my capacity to handle multiple
projects concurrently. Besides I consider quick learning as my greatest strength pertaining to my field of
study.
Currently, I work in a highly interdisciplinary research setting that requires interaction with students and
scientists from various educational backgrounds like Chemical, Biomedical and Macromolecular Science
Engineering. Subsequently, I present my research work to a cross-functional team during weekly lab
meetings. I have also received the prestigious Rackham International Student Fellowship awarded by
the graduate school to Masters Students who demonstrate outstanding academic and professional promise.
