Chaperones Needed for MS Greek Peak Waterpark Trip
We are still seeking chaperones for the MS Waterpark Trip on Tuesday, March 12th, from 11:00 am and returning
around 5:00pm. There are 93 MS students signed up and only 5 chaperones. At least, 7 more chaperones are
needed for this trip to happen. The original sign up sheet stated chaperones would need to pay a fee. This has
been changed: CHAPERONES DO NOT NEED TO PAY so please sign up. If you are interested, please email
Brenda Powers. I will send out an email to all chaperones with all the specifics. Bring your suit and splash with
the kids!!!
Enrichment Faire this Monday, March 11th
Enrichment Faire at the HS cafeteria this Monday, March 11th from 6-7pm.
Want to swim?
Open swim is available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15-7:15pm at the LHS pool.
Price: $2.00/adult and $1.00/child/L.C.S.D. student
Next Wednesday, March 13th - After Prom Committee Meeting
The After Prom Committee will be meeting on Wednesday, March 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
We're looking for volunteers to help with decorating, food, activities, chaperones, collecting donations, and
general organizing for the After Prom Party on May 11. If you can't make it to the meeting but would like to help
out, send an email to ptso@lcsd.k12.ny.us.
Support the Basketball Fund Raiser
The boys' varsity basketball team has been selling t-shirts as a team fund raiser. The shirts are Lansing yellow and
blue and say "Got hoop?". The cost of the t-shirt is one for $10 or two for $15. Support our basketball program,

Volunteer Request for the Middle School Drama
The Middle School will be presenting "Aladdin" April 11-13. As with any production, there is always need for
parent (or high school) volunteers. If you have an interest in set design, painting or construction, sound or lights
or music, sewing costumes, designing props, etc., please contact Audrey Hummel. Your child does not need to
be involved in the drama; we welcome any community member to assist us! Mark your calendars now! It is
going to be a GREAT show!
COMMUNITY EVENTS
Lansing Day Care Providers
Occasionally the elementary school office will receive a request for the names of Lansing day care providers. If
any Lansing providers would like to allow their names and phone numbers to be given out, please email Judy
Vaughan in the main office. Thank you.
Camp Invention
Camp Invention is being held at RC Buckley Elementary School from August 12-16th, from 8:30-3 p.m. Children
entering first grade through those who have completed fifth grade are encouraged to attend. Anyone who
registers using their LCSD email address receives a discount; the cost is $165. The regular price of camp is $230.
Discounted registrations are available with early registration. Limited scholarships are available (these
scholarships have been funded by Lansing's PTSO). Those interested in a scholarship should contact Cathy
Moseley. Campers can be registered at the invent.org website.
Camp Invention is a week long summer enrichment program that reinforces the traditional school year with
science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activities through inquiry-based, hands-on activities. Taught
by Lansing teachers, Camp Invention consists of four modules, which comprise 32.5 hours of programming. This
year's modules include 'Ecoverse', 'Cache Dash', 'I Can Invent-Launchitude', and 'Amazing Atlas Games'. For a
