Communicate a clear message that indicates the key priorities for school improvement to staff, governors and parents. SUMMARY OF REVIEW July 2012:Silver Status Achieved Wildlife/ pond area Maintenance will take place on the pond in March, with classes having sessions. Mrs Baker has asked Mrs Marklove if volunteers can help with the wildlife garden, pond and compost. Mrs Baker has asked Mrs Marklove if classes can use their raised bed to make products to sell at the summer fayre as part of a governor’s challenge. Eco Committee/ Club An Eco Committee has had a meeting. School council are having regular meetings. Mrs Baker will run Eco Club on Monday lunch time after half term. Environmental Review Environmental review redone January 2013. Waste Watch Review by children to be redone January 2013. Copies published on the website. Action Plan Action plans emailed to staff and published on website. Linking to the Curriculum Mrs Baker has asked all teachers for their critical pathways with links highlighted January 2013. Involving the whole school and wider community The school has a prominent, designated notice board, detailing Eco-Schools activities, notices will be emailed to staff. School Council will do more assemblies and competitions. Eco-Code Competition has been put on the website January 2013. Project work The school has completed in-depth work on at two of the Eco-Schools nine topics including the completion on the scrap store, and are now rewriting their action plan to work on more. Rach has collected evidence and Phil has agreed to use this during data handling work with his maths set. Mrs Baker has received a contact for an energy diary spread sheet and will see if this could be made available for Mr Bennett to use.
