Three (3) Work Days Review Time Will Be Required.

insurance must be in a form suitable to City.
CONTRACTOR CERTIFICATION
I am familiar with the November 2009 Standards for Design and Construction for the City of Kalispell
that apply to the work I have described above. I understand that all construction work within the public
right-of-way is subject to inspection by the Public Works Department. A minimum of twenty four (24)
hours advance notification is required in order to schedule and perform the inspection.

PARKLET INSTALLATION MUST INCLUDE (please initial)
Open space along curb face to allow storm drainage (1’ min)
Flush abutment to top of curb (shall not be below curb top or more than ½” above curb)
Fencing around perimeter, except for side adjoining sidewalk
Reflective surface or post for on-coming traffic corner (see page 4)
4” bright yellow strip along threshold to indicate possible tripping hazard on transition
from curb to parklet.
A 3’ minimum clear space around the circumference of any adjacent fire hydrants.
Parklet must be included in the fire safety and evacuation plan for the business.
A minimum entrance/exit width of 36”.
PARKLET INSTALLATION SHALL NOT INCLUDE (please initial)
Any type of permanent attachment to sidewalk or street surfaces
Attachments of any kind to sign posts, trees, light poles, or any other sidewalk features
Electrical or obtrusive lighting
Distribution or consumption of alcoholic beverages (unless approved to do so by the
state of Montana)
Fence heights taller than four (4) feet or less than three (3) feet.
Trash cans
Gates or fence openings to street or parking stalls
Solid Fencing (fabric, wood, or other nontransparent material)
A location which blocks access to a fire lane, FDC, any fire department access or
equipment.
