Returning Orientation Leader Job Description Each summer, 8,000 new students and 3,000 parents attend New Student Orientation at Sacramento State. Orientation assists new students with their transition to campus by providing programs and services that outline the University's academic requirements as well as social and developmental opportunities. In addition, Orientation provides parents with an understanding of University expectations and policies required of their student. Orientation Leaders are knowledgeable about academic policies, campus programs and serve as a resource to new students and their parents. Returning Orientation Leaders serve as a role model and mentor to new leaders. Minimum Qualifications: Enrolled in a least six units during Spring 2016 Minimum 2.7 GPA Conditions of Employment: Minimum 2.7 overall and Sac State GPA and good academic standing at the end of Spring 2016 Attendance at specified times during ID 197 (ex: first/last class, GE updates) Attend all training sessions (paid) Position begins late May and concludes in early-August (some Saturdays) Completion of online discrimination and sexual harassment tutorial (in May) This position has been designated as sensitive and will require a Criminal Background Check.
