Happy HCatholicism Programme by Fr. Robert Barron
An Exciting Programme for the Pastoral Area will take place in January 2014.
The programme has been running in several parishes throughout the diocese
and has been very well received by parishioners. It is a stimulating and new
way to help us enhance our understanding of our faith.
The course consists of Ten DVD episodes. There will be two opportunities for
people to see this programme, Monday evenings and Friday mornings. Five of
the relevant episodes will be shown from January/February. The remaining
episodes for the programme ‘Catholicism’ will commence again sometime after
Easter.

“Do This in Memory”
Our next “Do This in Memory” Eucharist in preparation for First Holy
Communion is on: Sunday, January 26th at 11.30a.m. Mass. We are
delighted to welcome the Gospel Choir from Ballinteer to sing and
celebrate with us this Eucharist in joy and thanksgiving. Céad Mile Fáilte to
all! The parents’ preparation for this Mass is on Monday, January 20th
at 8.00p.m. in St. Attracta’s Oratory.
Thank You to all who returned Christmas Dues. Your support is greatly
appreciated. Acknowledgements will be issued shortly.
The Parish Pastoral Council meeting takes place on Monday 20th January at
7.30p.m.
Mass for the Sick
The annual Diocesan Mass for the Sick
will take place this year in the Church
of St. Therese in Mount Merrion
on Sunday 9th February at 3p.m.
Archbishop Diarmuid Martin will be
the main celebrant. You are very
welcome to attend and please bring
family and friends who would like to
receive the anointing for the Sick.
Refreshments will be served afterwards
in the Parish Community Centre.

On Tuesday January 21st in the
Parish Parlour at 8p.m. in Divine
Word, Marley Grange Fr. Michael
Hurley will speak on Evangelisation
in Interesting Times. Fr. Michael is
a former Parish Priest of Leixlip
who is currently working for the
Archdiocese. He ministered in
Ballinteer where he was
instrumental in setting up the Cell
Groups which encourages members
to share their faith at a deeper level.
