MEETING OF THE HOUSE
The House met at 10.00 am pursuant to adjournment. The Speaker took the Chair, read the prayer and

Mr Brad Hazzard moved, That the business before the House be interrupted:

At 11.30 am to permit the presentation of inaugural speeches by the members for Bathurst,
Bankstown and Shellharbour; and

At 6.00 pm to permit the presentation of inaugural speeches by the members for Newcastle,
Swansea, Riverstone and Charlestown.

LIBRARY AMENDMENT BILL

Library Act 1939 to authorise local councils to enter into arrangements for the provision, control and
management of libraries and library services.

Mr Greg Smith moved, pursuant to notice, That a bill be now introduced for an Act to amend the Court
Security Act 2005 to make further provision with respect to the powers of security officers for courts; and
for other purposes.

Afghanistan on 23 May 2011.

The Legislative Council having this day passed a bill titled “a Bill for an Act to amend the Law
Enforcement (Powers and Responsibilities) Act 2002 in relation to move on directions to intoxicated
persons in public places” transmits the bill to the Legislative Assembly for concurrence.

imposition of a 40kph speed limit in Oxford Street, Paddington.
