The Importance of a Last Will and Testament:
Remember the Church in your Last Will &
Testament. Her prayers will accompany you to
heaven. Through your Last Will and Testament you
can also help those deprived and less fortunate, to
learn of God's infinite love and compassion by
leaving a legacy through the Church. After
considering your family and friends in your Will,
why not think of leaving a gift to the family of the
Church? It is a way of thanking God for the
blessings you have received during your life and a
wonderful way of ensuring that the faith and values
we cherish will be carried on in the future. Discuss
this option with your financial advisor or those who
assist you in these matters.

BLESSSING OF HOMES
A wonderful tradition during the Christmas and
Epiphany season is the Blessing of Homes.
The Blessing includes a prayer that God will
protect your family during the coming year, the
house is sprinkled with holy water and the
names of the Three Kings who visited and
worshipped the Infant Jesus in Bethlehem are
written above the lintel of the main door with
blessed chalk (Caspar, Melchior, and
Balthasar). If you wish to have your house
blessed, please complete the form below and
return it in the collection basket or drop it off at
the Parish Office. The Blessing will begin after
January 1, 2016. Thank You!

THANK YOU
This weekend we offer our sincere words and
sentiments of gratitude to Barbara Komendat,
our Administrative Assistant for Divine Mercy
Parish. Barbara decided six months ago to
retire from her years of employment with the
Diocese of Trenton. This, I am sure is a bitter –
sweet experience for Barbara but we all offer
our words of thanks for what she has
accomplished in our parish. Our prayers go
with you, Barbara, as you end this chapter of
your life and begin the next exciting chapter.
God Bless you now and always.
WELCOME
Let us take a moment to welcome Jennifer
Campos to our staff who will take on the
responsibility of our new parish secretary.
Jennifer comes to us with a few years of
experience working for the Catholic Church at
a neighboring parish. Jennifer will begin her
work for us in the new year, as a part time
employee. Let us pray her time with us will be
long and blessed.
NEW OFFICE HOURS
Beginning January 4, 2016, our new office
hours will be Monday thru Friday, 10:00am to
2:00pm. Please note that every Holy Day and
Holiday the office is closed. Notice will always
be in the bulletin.
PRAYER FOR OUR FAMILY
God and Father of us all,
in Jesus, your Son and our Savior,
you have made us
your sons and daughters
in the family of the Church.
May your grace and love
help our families
in every part of the world
be united to one another
in fidelity to the Gospel.
May the example of the Holy Family,
with the aid of your Holy Spirit,
guide all families, especially those most
troubled,
to be homes of communion and prayer
and to always seek your truth
and live in your love.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us!
YEAR OF MERCY
The Year of Mercy began on December 8,
2015. As part of the celebration of the Year of
Mercy and our parish having one of the 13
Holy Doors in our Diocese, we will have a
Mass every Wednesday at 12:10 beginning
this week until November 2016. After Mass
confessions will be available until 1:00PM.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
In the name of Fr. Kwoka, Fr. Kunnath, and Fr.
Medina, I take this opportunity to extend our
gratitude to all of you for the many kindnesses
you have shown to all. We all pray that you and
your family will continue to imitate the virtues of
the Holy family and enjoy the Blessings of the
New Year. Happy New Year. Fr. Dennis

Italy pilgrimage with Bishop O’Connell
Only a few seats remain for the faithful to journey with Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., on an 11day Holy Year of Mercy pilgrimage to Italy in April. Bishop O’Connell is set to guide pilgrims through
an immersive experience of prayer and reflection during a rich program of travel throughout Italy April
4 to 14, 2016, in observance of the Jubilee Year of Mercy. Deadline to register is Dec. 22. “The
Bishop of Trenton wants to lead a group of pilgrims to Rome and Tuscany as a way to highlight this
year and an opportunity for these pilgrims to visit the area’s holy places, not simply for their artistic or
historic value but as places where the Mass is celebrated,” Father Jeffrey E. Lee, pastor of St. Mary
Parish, Colts Neck, and diocesan director of pilgrimages, said earlier this year. “It is a special trip that
was designed for the most part by the Bishop,” said Bob Faucett, vice president of Unitours, which is
organizing the trip and handling travel arrangements. “He is well experienced and a good traveler and
he knows these areas. We built the trip around his desires.” The total program cost is $3,999 per
pilgrim and includes airfare to and from Newark Liberty International Airport, as well as most meals.
Daily Masses will complement opportunities for prayer, along with visits to a collection of churches
and historic, religious landmarks situated throughout Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Assisi, Pisa and
Siena. Pilgrims will also have time to explore various destinations on their own, and to enjoy
fellowship and some of Italy’s world-famous cuisine. “Traveling with a Bishop opens certain
possibilities that are normally unavailable to other groups, even Church-sponsored pilgrimages,” he
said. “It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity during this extraordinary Holy Year participating in the
pilgrimage with our Bishop O’Connell.” For a full itinerary of the pilgrimage and to reserve your spot
online, visit http://www.dioceseoftrenton.org/holy-year-of-mercy-pilgrimage or contact Marianna
Pisano at Unitours at 800-777-7432 or mpisano@unitours.com.
