COLLECTIONS MANAGEMENT INTERN- FASHIONS COLLECTION This position is located at the Molly Brown House Museum within the Curatorial and Collections Management Department and is under the direct supervision of the Curator of Collections. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Work with the Curator of Collections to gain intellectual control over the museum’s fashion collection. This position will require the intern to handle fashion objects, photograph, create inventory lists, and catalogue this collection. Intern will also maintain a digital inventory of this collection. Additional responsibilities include being prepared to conduct tours of the museum as needed. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION Intern must have knowledge of general office procedures with good written and verbal communication skills. Intern should have the ability to use technical equipment such as photocopiers, digital cameras, flash drives, and scanners. Required is the ability to work with computers and to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital photo management. This position also requires that the intern uses proper object handling techniques, standard museum photographing techniques, archival skills, and basic collections database management skills.
