AOB (5 minutes) Agenda Item Discussion/Decisions 2- Water quality test results & health Bulletin analyses by WHO 3- Brief on Sanitation technical working group WHO presented analyses summary of water quality test results, tested 3,432 water samples from 5 Darfur state, Blue Nile White Nile, Kassala and Red Sea states during 2014. There were 1,307 samples (38%) taken from sources and 2,125 (62%) from households, The results revealed that 974 samples (75%) from the source and 1,667 (78%) samples from the house-holds are safe and 333 samples (25%) from the source and 458 samples (22%) from house hold are contaminated. Most of the contaminated sources were found in South, East Darfur and Kassala states and mainly reflecting the degrading WASH situation in the IDPs camps and informal settlements; Analyses details will be shared in the drop box account. Partners feedback and discussion highlights: Further efforts needed to link water quality results with morbidity reports & WASH related diseases as well as relation of HH contamination with sources contamination; Partners requested sharing of sampling SOPs and protocols & requested more involvement on this process; Useful to share Hepatitis E cases Vs acute Jaundice syndrome (AJS); Special water quality technical working group should take care of streamline water quality practices; Save the children –Sweden as chair person for Sanitation technical working group presented summary for group discussion & proposed sector guidelines for different context of new IDPs, Settled IDPs (more than 5 years), Returnees, Host communities, flood affected, Refugees & Nomads.
