Max. class 20 (Walk-ins OK) Classes available Zentangle – Meditative DoodlingAdult/teens/5 and up Zentangle is an easy, fun, relaxing method of drawing that uses patterns to create lovely artwork. It is a fascinating new art form that increases focus, decreases stress, and allows your creative juices to flow. No artistic talent is necessary. You will learn several easy patterns to get you started so you can use this fun form of meditation when you go home. Cosmic Doodling –Mandala Style- Adult/teens Mandalas are symmetrical designs that represent the universe, and are used as a tool in meditation by many cultures. They are great tools for meditation and increasing selfawareness. Designing your own mandala can be both inspirational and therapeutic. This fun and creative class will guide you through the process of creating and coloring your own mandala masterpiece. No artist experience necessary. You will be drawing easy shapes/patterns and then filling them in the colors you choose to express yourself. Cosmic Doodling for Manifestation- Adult This fun, rewarding and enlightening class asks the participants to go through an instructor guided doodling session. No artistic abilities needed! Each student is asked to keep their drawings to themselves. We encourage stick figures and basic drawings – because we draw only with CRAYONS! The point of the Cosmic Doodling class is to identify what you really want, who you really want with you, and then focus on manifesting it. The finished doodling is enlightening for the student – asking the important question – what do you really want to make your soul sing? How to draw a tree – Adults/teens. Learn the basics of drawing a tree- one of the most beloved symbols in art. Tina Tompkins Ames, our instructor, is known for her trees in much of her artwork and will guide all levels in learning this art skill. No prior art skill needed. *Raised Salt Painting – 5 & up This fun technique uses glue, salt and basic food dye/watercolors to make a colorful 3-D masterpiece every time. *Glow in the Dark/Handmade Dough5 & up It gets messy but so much fun! We create cute little glow in the dark creatures with 3 ingredients. The main ingredient is white bread! *Chocolate Truffle Making- Adults/teens This class is a very popular one and for good reason. We make homemade, old fashioned chocolate truffles. Participants make, taste, and wrap some to take home! We always include the recipe, supplies, and special wrappings! *Getting Ready for Your Garden- Adults Another popular one in the spring – Tina gives “old fashioned” tips on gardening, seed saving , composting and all natural techniques for a no spray garden. She even gives all students her own heirloom seeds and notes to take home. Individual questions on your garden always welcome! *No-Bake Pumpkin Cookies- 5 & up We will prepare these tasty no-bake treats and have extra to take home to share. The kids will get their hands messy rolling but this healthy treat will be worth it! No nuts will be used in the recipe. *Candy Creations Make holiday creations from packaged candy. Can be Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween or other themes – just ask Tina! *Cupcake Ornaments Make cupcakes that last forever – great class for Mother/Daughter theme, seniors, etc. *Easy Jam Making Local instructor Tina Ames will teach you the fun and easy way to make jam with your fresh fruit. This one hour class will be hands on and teach you two processes of jam making – freezer jam and water bath method. No special equipment needed to invest in. Of course – sampling of jams is part of the class! ****Daylong Scratch Cooking Workshop This class needs to be taught in a kitchen area. The price is $450 for up to 15 people – and includes an extensive amount of materials & handouts – all included. 5 hours minimum. Scratch cooking can be so easy and rewarding with the right recipes and guidance. Go back to basics and learn how to cook from scratch – saving money and most importantly – feed yourself inexpensive and healthier food the whole week. We will also sample all of our finished products! In this daylong workshop you will learn the staples of scratch cooking from breakfast to late night snack. This includes fresh baked bread, grandma’s macaroni & cheese, chicken noodle soup, stovetop popcorn, brownie sundaes and more. About Tina T.
